Maccari is Maya’s director of commercial performance

Amber Maccari is now director of commercial performance at Maya Hotels, where she will lead the company’s commercial strategy, overseeing revenue management, sales, marketing, pricing and distribution.

Amber Maccari is now director of commercial performance at Maya Hotels. Previously she worked 13 years at IHG Hotels & Resorts, specializing in revenue strategy and management.

In her new role, Maccari will lead the company’s commercial strategy, overseeing revenue management, sales, marketing, pricing, and distribution. She joined Maya Hotels in May 2023 as director of revenue management, the company said in a statement.

“Amber brings vision, focus, and a deep sense of responsibility to everything she takes on,” said Parimal Thakor, Maya Hotels' president. “This promotion reflects her contributions to date and our confidence in her ability to lead our commercial efforts going forward.”

Krishna Deva, Maya Hotels' CEO, said the company remains deeply focused on its impact on guests, employees, communities, and partners as it continues to grow.

“Amber’s leadership is a critical part of that vision,” he said. “Her promotion signals our shift toward a more integrated commercial structure—one that reflects where the industry is heading and allows us to drive performance in a more strategic, connected way.”

Maccari also was director of sales at Ehrhardt Hospitality, where she gained hands-on exposure to operations, sales and marketing.

“I’m excited to take on this expanded role,” she said. “We’ve built real momentum, and I’m proud to work alongside a team that brings both grit and creativity to the table. This next chapter is about sharpening our strategies, driving stronger results, and ensuring our commercial efforts align with where we’re headed as a company. The work ahead is meaningful and rewarding. I’m honored to be part of it.”

Maya Hotels, founded in 1995 by brothers-in-law Baldev Thakor and JD Deva and headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, includes 10 properties with more than 1,000 guest rooms across North Carolina and South Carolina, affiliated with brands like Hilton Hotels & Resorts, IHG Hotels & Resorts, and Marriott International. In April 2024, Thakor and Deva handed control of the company to their children, Parimal Thakor and Krishna Deva.
