Laplante is G6 Hospitality’s chief information officer

He has been with the company’s IT department for 18 years

John Laplante is G6 Hospitality’s new chief information officer. Previously he was vice president of information technology in the company’s program management office and contact center operations.

Laplante also served the Motel 6 IT team for 18 years and at one time led  the IT PMO and Quality Assurance teams. He  worked for Infusion Management Systems, Cingular Wireless and Accor North America, the prior owner of the Motel 6 and Studio 6 brands.


He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas. Laplante currently sits on the University of North Texas, Hospitality and Tourism Advisory Board.

“Our commitment to innovation continues with the appointment of John Laplante,” said G6 Hospitality CEO Rob Palleschi. “His experience heading various successful software and product development initiatives for the company, and a deep understanding and commitment to our values, makes him a key player in driving further advancement of our digital operations. In early May, G6 Hospitality implemented its Clean@6 cleaning and safety program.

He spent a decade as chief of staff to U.S. House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, AHLA said in a statement.
