OYO Launches “Pay at Hotel” Feature for Unmatched Payment Flexibility

OYO, A HOSPITALITY TECHNOLOGY company, recently launched its new “Pay at Hotel” feature across more than 400 properties in 35 states, allowing guests to pay directly at check-in without upfront payment or credit card details. The company targets business travelers and last-minute bookers seeking payment flexibility and reported positive feedback and customer adoption from its Houston market pilot.

The launch follows its acquisition of G6 Hospitality, though the “Pay at Hotel” feature will only be available at OYO properties, the company said in a statement.

“The introduction of ‘Pay at Hotel’ represents a step in how Americans book their stays,” said Nikhil Heda, OYO U.S. head of business development. “We understand that travelers, especially those booking last-minute or managing uncertain schedules, need more flexibility in payment options. This feature addresses that need while maintaining our commitment to providing affordable accommodations across the U.S.”

Initial data from the Houston pilot showed that increased booking flexibility reduced cancellations, boosted customer satisfaction, especially among business travelers, and led to strong adoption by last-minute bookers, a growing segment of OYO’s customer base, the statement said. The new feature is now available on OYO’s mobile app and website.

OYO recently announced a $62 million investment over three years to expand its premium UK hotel portfolio, create 1,000 jobs and acquire premium inventory through long-term leasehold and management contracts.
