The 8th California Lodging Investment Conference, scheduled for March 5 to 6 in Long Beach, California, will begin with a networking mixer and the 2025 Hotel Development of the Year Award, sponsored by Lodging Econometrics.

THE EIGHTH CALIFORNIA Lodging Investment Conference is scheduled for March 5 to 6 in Long Beach, California. It begins with a networking mixer and the 2025 Hotel Development of the Year Award, sponsored by Lodging Econometrics.

The conference continues on March 6 with a full day of panels and networking, CLIC said in a statement.

“The business outlook remains positive, with an increased level of consumer confidence laying the groundwork for a boom in travel and hospitality,” said Craig Sullivan, CLIC’s founder and president. “Savvy hoteliers who want to gain valuable knowledge on the California hotel market and network with the leading hospitality players on the West Coast will gain valuable insight into the ever-changing hotel landscape.”

Following opening remarks, Rachel Humphrey and Lan Elliot of the Women in Hospitality Alliance will present on the Women in Hospitality Leadership Alliance, the statement said. Bruce Ford, senior vice president of global business development at Lodging Econometrics, will then deliver the annual hotel market update before the day’s panels.

Jason Riederer, vice president of state and local government affairs at the American Hotel & Lodging Association, will provide a lunchtime update on California’s latest hotel rules, regulations and policies.

Panels include:

  • Hospitality AI/Tech: Tim Edgar, founder and president of Hotel Innvestor; Jackie Collins, senior director and vice president at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.; and Cesar Wurm, vice president of premium and commercial brands at IHG Hotels & Resorts.
  • Public Relations and Crisis Management: CJ Arlotta, founder of CJ Media Solutions; Joseph Fan, president of Brighton Management; Calvin Tilokee, CEO and creative director of RevPar Media; and Jason Riederer of AHLA.
  • Future Leaders and Internships: Lisa Cain and Timothy Flohr, cofounders and partners of Hospitality Internships; and Suzanne Bagnera, assistant professor at the Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management, Florida International University.
  • Curating the Guest Experience: Mark LeBlanc, managing director of West Coast operations at Rebel Hotels; Mark Crisci, president of AZUL Hospitality Group; Henry Wong, principal at AO Architects; and McKenna Luke, lead at Partner Valuation Advisors.

CLIC is offering a final discounted registration price of $650 through March 4. On-site registration will be $750.
