HOTEL EQUITIES HAS partnered with Grazzy and Visa Direct to launch a digital tipping platform for their associates and guests. This initiative aims to provide a secure and cashless way for guests to tip hotel staff, HE said in a statement.
According to a recent study, 83 percent of hotel guests want to tip staff digitally but face limitations.
HE and Grazzy’s program enables guests to tip housekeeping, front desk and other staff from their mobile devices, the company said.
By scanning a hotel branded QR code in their room or on hotel signage, guests can access Grazzy, choose the staff member and enter the desired tip amount. No cash or extra apps are required, the statement added.
“Our associates drive results, and we continuously seek ways to enhance their work experience,” said David Rosenberg, HE’s senior vice president of operations. “By implementing digital tipping, we not only modernize the tipping process but also provide our associates with an additional avenue for recognition and financial benefit. This initiative aligns with HE’s commitment to utilizing thoughtful technology and creating added benefit offerings for our team members.”
“We are dedicated to transforming inefficient, time-consuming processes into innovative digital experiences for businesses, employees, and customers,” said Yanilsa Ore-Gonzalez, senior vice president, head of visa direct, North America. “Our collaboration with Grazzy to digitize tipping in the hospitality industry exemplifies this commitment.”
HE is implementing Grazzy’s platform across its hotels, the company said. The Jetha Group, with Sumeet Jetha as president of operations, contracted with HE to manage The Home2 Suites by Hilton Whitestown Indianapolis NW.
BWH Hotels, including Best Western Hotels & Resorts and SureStay Hotel Group, offers cashless tipping through eTip and Visa for guests in the U.S. and Canada. This convenient feature allows guests to express gratitude to hotel associates through pre-selected or custom tipping options.
