How’s Red Roof Helping Women Own Hotels in 2025?

RED ROOF ADDED more than 30 women to its ownership community since 2023 through initiatives such as Road to Inclusivity and Diversity in Entrepreneurship with Red Roof, and SHE, inspired by Red Roof. RIDE connects aspiring owners with lenders, while SHE supports women in hospitality with articles, insights and best practices.

Also, Lina Patel, Red Roof’s director of strategic franchise initiatives, will join a March 18 roundtable at the Hunter Hotel Investment Conference in Atlanta to discuss self-belief and authenticity in business, Red Roof said in a statement.

Aligned with Red Roof’s mission through RIDE and SHE, the Hunter session “Bet on Yourself at the Table” will explore how hoteliers can enter any space with confidence and conviction.

“Succeeding as a woman in hospitality has always been a challenge, as we often are tasked with balancing more aspects of family life and work,” said Dimple Patel, part owner and GM of the Red Roof Inn Walton, Kentucky. “Sometimes, all we need is a little support. Red Roof has been the easiest group to work with as an owner, above all others. Years ago, I began my hospitality career as a front desk worker at a Red Roof property, and the organization continues to provide support today from behind the scenes. Everyone from executive leaders to support teams is just one call away, and they are always willing to work with us.”

Lina Patel called Dimple Patel an accomplished hotel owner and a valued member of the Red Roof community.

"She has achieved so much in a short time, and we are honored to count her among our valued franchisees," Lina Patel said. "Thanks to Dimple and owners like her, Red Roof is quickly becoming a hub for women and entrepreneurs from underserved markets looking to establish themselves in hospitality and build successful businesses."

RIDE expands hospitality’s reach in underserved communities by connecting aspiring hotel owners with lenders and Red Roof’s partners, lowering funding barriers and creating paths to ownership, the statement said. SHE strengthens the RIDE program by supporting women in hospitality with articles, insights and best practices on she-leads.com.

"SHE motivates women in lodging to own, lead, or make an impact. RIDE expands Red Roof’s franchise community by helping underserved segments access ownership through resources, referrals, and expertise," said Lisa Jordan, Red Roof’s vice president of marketing. "While the programs serve people at different career and leadership stages, their synergy creates a 360-degree approach to fostering belonging and diversifying our owner and leadership community."

Red Roof’s Elevate 2024 Brand Conference was held in October at Mohegan Sun Casino and Resort in Uncasville, Connecticut, where the company announced a new prototype, partnerships, and executive team members. More than 1,000 franchisees, team members, and partners attended. Red Roof operates over 60,000 rooms across 700 properties in the U.S. and Japan.
